The Missouri Police Canine Association was formed in 1996 to help canine teams excel in the use of their canines by providing training and an avenue to certify their team. I want to thank past President Mike Perkins for his service to our organization over the past few years. Congratulations to Chris Smith for becoming our Vice President, and welcome aboard to Paul Gash, our new Treasurer.
This organization belongs to its members, and we, the executive board, are here to serve them and their canine partners. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or ideas on how we can strengthen this organization.
Thanks for all you do, and be safe,
Scott Hedger
President
Missouri Police Canine Association
We hope to make some positive changes soon, but our objectives of the MPCA will remain the same:
To unite and assist all law enforcement agencies in the training and continued improvements of all police work dogs.
To establish a working standard for all police work dogs, handlers, and trainers through an accreditation program.
To provide educational material through publications, visual aids, and training seminars.
To promote and improve the image of the police work dog in the law enforcement community and within the general public.
